For sports fans, this past week was a blessing. Both Wimbledon and the Euros 2024 came to an end. It is surely a time I will miss, especially listening to English commentators. Other than the disappointment in the English community the next day, I have big news. I have officially begun my YouTube channel. Never thought the day would come, but here we are. As an icebreaker, I decided to do an IB results reaction video. Even though I had looked at them beforehand, no one has to know... I started doing better on my social media platforms: more views, more followers, as I started to prioritize quality over quantity. Having said that, my side hustles remain side hustles. I can't pursue them full time, though it can be difficult not to trap yourself in them.
Looking Ahead
As I am slowly entering my final two weeks in Oxford, I have started to become more productive, planning for the future and preparing for the next big step. Before you even know it, it'll be time to say goodbye to your loved ones and face the rising sun on your own. Yes, I am being dramatic, but that is what being a writer is like. Anyway, this week we have some nice events awaiting us. My brother's best friend is graduating, which is why we will be going to Manchester for two days. Due to the heavy rain we have experienced over the past couple of days, we didn't get the chance to spend much time out and about. However, we will have the opportunity soon enough. Therefore, I will be filming new videos, so stay tuned.
The Experimental Stage
I am in an experimental stage online, where I present a variety of content to see what works and what doesn't. It is a little bit scary, but the first step is always the hardest. Now that we have overcome that, the world is my oyster. But don't worry, I haven't set aside other goals that I am working on. My poetry book has been through it all: changes, deletions, additions. It is way more difficult than I thought it would be. And by the looks of things, that dream will have to wait a bit longer. However, I am hoping that I will be able to publish it by next year at the latest. I must say, I am thankful for all the things I have learned through this process, as it will make it easier for me to navigate them next time.
Embrace the Day
On this note, I wish you a lovely week and hope you remain productive even during the holidays. We are so lucky to live in the world we do today. While we often take it for granted, we have to remain strong and make the most of it. So, whether you are on your own, with your family, or with your friends, embrace this day with joy and laughter. Make memories you won't forget, and above all, spread positivity. Hope you enjoyed this, see you next time!
